Does anyone remember last year, when I celebrated my 'work' anniversary? I did a blog post about it, HERE

Well, this year got a little bit crazy, and a little bit behind. But, I haven't forgotten my favorite way to celebrate being in business, and my favorite way to thank all my wonderful clients.

Nope. I didn't forget.

There have just been distractions......

Whisperings of something {NEW}........

It's almost time.

And THEN.

Then it will be time to celebrate.

This was a wedding I helped shoot while I was in Vegas attending WPPI.

My friend & fellow photographer Brittney Cascio (of Cascio Photography in Logan, Utah) was

the main shooter here. I was just lucky enough to tag along.

It's been so long since I've blogged, I think I've forgotten how?!

But my goal - since attending the conference - is to get everything back on

track, and updated. In the meantime, I thought I should at least post a little something.

When a female chooses to busy her life with

both work, and family,it tends to get

a little busy! Such has been the case lately.

I love, Love, LOVE! being a photographer.

I love teaching piano.

(lately, accompanying for the local pageant!)

But my FIRST love,

is my

wonderful family.

They have been so patient with me lately.

With the wonderful weather here,

and some pretty cool fall colors,

business has been very busy!!

People want to take advantage of the gorgeous outdoors!

We never are sure when the 18 inches of snow will hit us!

But, my awesome clients have also been patient.

Sometimes a busy mom can be sidetracked with her Mac,

until the patiently waiting family gently, and oh so sweetly,

reminds her that they DO come first....

SO~

to those who are waiting so patiently for their photos to be finished,

I say Thank YOU!

Thank you for remembering that my 'mom' job comes first.

Thank you for being so fun to work with.

Thank you for looking great, having fun when we're out together,

and for being as excited about your pictures as I am!

And to my wonderful, precious family.....

thank you for helping extra around the house.

thank you my daughter for running kids around, and helping with the little ones.

Oh my gosh,

I just can't say it enough!!

This family was so much fun!!

I have noticed within my own family,

that as my siblings have gotten older, the

relationship changes and so does the fun.

Childhood type relationships

develop into adult friendships.

And WE have fun.

This family is no different.

They have their personal jokes.

They have the crazy moments...

(I have proof!)

heh heh heh...

and they definitely share the love.

The really cool thing is....

they don't limit it.

It just surrounds them.

They envelope you and you are sucked right into their craziness.

And I loved it.

It's so fun when a mother and daughter

It was my first time meeting the daughter.

I've known the mother,

(the mother saves my butt. often.)

The friendship, and the caring are

so very apparent.

Ah, Fall.

It's my favorite time of year.

I love the warm afternoons, with the chilly evenings.

I love getting back into a routine with the kids back in school.

I enjoy being social with friends as we sit

I just adore older couples.

So many times couples like to

pretend that they get

grumpy with one another.

But when you get them all alone

and you really watch them interact,

with just each other....

you see so many tender moments.

You can feel the love and friendship between them.

A sweet relationship, that takes years to develop.

he's carried that in his wallet since 1975.

I bet it's because he loves her.

(Or maybe, he just thought

she'd be handy to keep around..)

But I love the fact that they know,

When it comes to my 'work' blog,

I NEVER post sooc (straight out of camera) photos.

It's just not what I do.

I like to have the finished product,

all touched up,

just how I envisioned it when I shot it.

But today,

I will break my own rule.

I was SO excited last week...

(yes.. I am late in posting!)

when I had Annelisa's session.

She was very comfortable in front of the camera.

We had so much fun goofing off!

(and the burger at the end....

AWESOME!)

hahahaah! had to be there!

Anyway...

Annelisa is beautiful.

Without photoshop.

Most people really are.

But I just wanted to prove it to

a sweetheart of a young lady.

SEE??!!!

She's absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!

When these are done, they are going to be

KICK BUTT AWESOME!

I'm starting to catch back up.

As much as I hate the school year,

this summer has been WAY

more crazy and busy than

I would like it to be.

Sunday evening I finally caught up

with another VERY busy family.

It was totally worth the wait though.

Everyone was relaxed,

the light was wonderful,

kids were happy,

(even the teenager!

haha!)

And the results

totally speak for themselves.......

She caught my attention

the very first time

I saw her at church.

We visited.

She didn't know my name.

I decided to tease her one day,

and kept texting her,

and bugging her,

and,

it bugged her.

*wink*

she figured out who it was,

but from then on,

I was 'creepy lady' in her phone.

(she still called me that last Thursday)

I was proud of her.

I was amazed by her.

SHE reminded me of my own.

SHE is bold.

Brave.

Devoted.

Sincere.

She made all of her friends,

feel like they were

her best friend.

SHE was the only one,

I was REALLY afraid

to meet up in a dark alley with.....

unless she was on my side.

I look up to her.

I relied on her to watch out for my baby.

She was my friend too.

And my heart hurts.

It doesn't matter how.

It doesn't matter why.

It just matters.

It's crazy,

how in a short 18 years,

so much could be accomplished,

and so many could be affected.

Oh I can't believe how far behind I am in my blogging!

I've been working with so many good clients lately, and I feel so bad that they haven't had their "sneak peak" up to look at!! So a very huge 'I'M SORRY!' to all those who are being patient with me.

I've known this family for SO many years, and I FINALLY had the opportunity to do a session with them. And there's no greater reason, than to be the last family photo before Tyson leaves on his mission. They are all great friends. I've watched the family change and grow - and it's been incredible to see what a fabulous mother Wendy has been to these boys. They really are amazing. I've said it before - if my boys turn out to be even half as good as these two, I'll feel like I've succeeded as a mom.

It was good to see you Wendy and Sean, we miss you so much! Good luck to you Tyson - I'm still rooting for Billings! Teancum - you will always be my hero.

This is Caitlyn.

I met her on the day she was born.

She's sweet. She's smart.

I'm so in love with this BAD BOY! Thanks to a 'private investor', I was able to upgrade equipment. (Special shout- out huge "THANKS!!" to that awesome investor!) It has all kinds of bells and whistles, and produces a pretty mean image! I'm so excited!
So, now it's off to test it out!!!
